The Draught Ale is the one that's single hopped with Galaxy, isn't it?
Can't wait to find it locally!

It's only a matter of time before someone tries to buy them.

No worries. Sounds like I'll have to come back sometime to test out the beers again. ;-)

Good article. Nice to see people entertaining the idea of sustainable business practice for mutual benefit rather than the ol' screw whatever you can out of everybody.

Hi Rukh,
Looking at the beers you tasted it's clear that you weren't the person I was thinking of - so it wasn't me that served you.
I can only think there was a problem with chiller on the day - as we usually serve at a higher temprature than the NZ industry standard. We don't go to the trouble of sourcing the beers we do to ruin their taste profiles by freezing them. I'm really sorry you didn't get to try the beers in the best possible condition.

I am crying the driest of tears. It is amazing that they are where they are today. LN make smart moves. Fosters desperately clutch at preserving their ageing portfolio.
It is as though they have not yet noticed that the year does not start with a 198.

Hi Kieron. The entire selection of kegged beer was way too cold. Here's my tasting notes from the time-

It was a few months ago so perhaps it was just a temporary issue?? I don't think that we can send personal messages (PM) here so, feel free to do so via the Aussie Homebrewer site.
Cheers,
Rukh.

You'd think beer consumption like cinema attendance would improve in a down turn.

Hi Rukh, I think I actually served you at The Moutere.
When you say the beers were too cold - did you mean for particular styles (such as IPA for example), or that that the entire selection of kegged beer was too cold?
Cheers - Kieron

Love this style. Appeals to me on so many levels, as a lover of stouts and IPA.
Find it doubtful that the style will catch on in a big way in Australia, but am certainly looking forward to Murrays new beer.

Murray's Feb special is a Black IPA. I blew Shawns tastebuds with my American Black Ale ;-)

There aren't even pale IPAs in your favourite beer store or tavern :)
Good article Rukh.

"Patagonia Cascade hops, and they still use them, which gives their beers a spiciness not found in other pale ales".
~drool~ sounds good.

I visited the Moutere Inn late last year. The beer was served way too cold, but they did have a great selection.

I only have a pergola, so I can't brew Corona either. What a shame.

Yes, the beers are probably brewed in garages. I wish I had a garage, only have tree so wont try to brew Corona.
